Catalan daily Sport, has revealed La Liga side Real Zaragoza have agreed a pre-contract to sign Chilean striker Humberto Suazo from Mexican side Monterrey. The 28-year-old is highly rated after guiding his team to Mexican League title success and is jumping at the chance to play in Spain’s top flight.

Suazo will join the struggling club, who are stuck in a relegation fight, on a loan deal with an option of a permanent transfer, should the experience prove beneficial for both parties.

The Chile international has enjoyed a successful Monterrey career, leaving the club having scored 44 goals in 86 appearances since his acquisition in 2007. Zaragoza have expressed their desires to purchase a striker in the January transfer window, and they have gotten their wish in the coveted Suazo.
