La Liga basement dwellers Xerez are reportedly interested in taking Barcelona striker Keirrison on loan until the end of the season, reports A Bola.

The young Brazilian, who arrived in Spain as a hot-property in the summer, was loaned out to Portuguese side Benfica. Over the border in Portugal however, Keirrison has not enjoyed a fruitful time and is already surplus to requirements at the Estadio da Luz. This has led Barcelona to consider his return to the Camp Nou and loan to a side where he can have more first-team football.

Xerez would appear to be the latest to express an interest in proving to be just such a club. La Liga’s bottom side have struggled to score goals, managing only six goals this season. With just one win so far they look destined for relegation, yet are not out of touch or adrift, yet.

Xerez will hope that bagging Keirrison could lead to an improvement in their fortunes.
