Everton and Manchester City played in a heated match in midweek, a game which saw managers from both teams sent off late in the second half due to a slight physical altercation. Such touchline bust-ups are not unfamiliar to Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who has had quite a few in his tenure as The Gunners boss.

Thanks for reminding me!” laughed Wenger after a reporter pointed out his own touchline rows. “I had some but we are all under pressure. During a game at one specific moment it can happen that for a fraction of a second we lose it a little bit. It can happen to anybody,” he explained. "Even if after the game, when we say ‘come on let’s behave properly’ it can still happen. It just shows that we are humans like everybody and that we care.”

Emotions will have to be kept in check however, especially this weekend where passion will be running high for Arsenal, as they face Birmingham at St. Andrews, where Eduardo suffered his horrific injury.
