Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano believes his side can no longer afford to drop any points if they are to have any chance of finishing in the coveted fourth place in the Premier League. The Reds currently lie sixth in the league, four points behind, and having played a game more than Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently in the final Champions League spot.
“I think we will have to win all our games. We have seven finals and we have to win all of them to have hope of finishing fourth," Mascherano said on the club’s official website. "If we can win 21 points, maybe we will be there. If not, it will be very difficult."
Liverpool will play their first “final” this weekend against Sunderland at Anfield, where they have been in impressive form this season.
