Manchester City are exhausting every resource in attempts to rush centre-back Joleon Lescott back to fitness. The former Everton defender, who has had a tricky season with injuries so far, is looking at possibly another month before a return to first-team action.

Lescott already missed twelve games earlier in the season, and is now making use of an oxygen chamber in an effort to decrease the likelihood of missing more games, and to increase the rate of his recovery.

According to Man City’s official website, Lescott’s drive to be included in the England squad that travels to South Africa in the summer, is what’s pushing him to put in the extra effort to heal as quickly as possible. The defender’s hamstring injury, similar to that obtained by Manchester United’s Michael Owen, is a delicate however, and is advised not to be rushed.
