Real Madrid boss Manuel Pellegrini has declared he is not concerned by how Lionel Messi will play for Barcelona in El Clasico this evening. With the clash sure to go some way to deciding who wins the La Liga title it could prove pivotal to Pellegrini’s future.

"Real Madrid have never depended on what the other team does" Pellegrini told the press in reference to questions over the potential performance of Lionel Messi, "I do not care how Messi will play" he added.

The Chilean boss was also sure that a draw is not sufficient for Real as they look to put clear blue water between themselves and their Catalan rivals. "A draw is always a bad result" said Pellegrini.
