Tottenham Hotspur bounced back perfectly following their shock FA Cup exit at the hands of Portsmouth, defeating two consecutive “big four” teams in Arsenal and Chelsea in quick succession. The massive pair of victories have placed Harry Redknapp’s side in the prime position to finish the season in fourth, something striker Peter Crouch believes has shown the confidence of the team.
“We’ve showed character, fitness levels and the quality to beat two of the best sides in the country,” the former Liverpool forward said on the club’s official website. "We’ve set ourselves up with these last two games. A lot of people wrote us off getting anything from those games, so we’ve a fantastic chance now. If we manage to get into the Champions League it would be a huge achievement."
Spurs can make it nine points out of nine against the league’s top three sides if they manage to defeat Manchester United at Old Trafford at the weekend.
