According to Spanish paper Marca, Chelsea will be breaking the bank in the summer to acquire AC Milan’s Brazilian duo Pato, and Thiago Silva. The two players are believed to be on the radar of manager Carlo Ancelotti, who has convinced owner Roman Abramovich to part with €80M in order to acquire the highly-rated pair.

Being former manager of the Italian giants, Ancelotti is the perfect person to assess the qualities of the two prospects. And despite already having a squad that is capable of possibly winning the Premier League next weekend, the new Blues manager is convinced the acquisition of the duo will propel the club to new heights.

There is also speculation of a possible reunion between Real Madrid’s disgruntled Kaka and the former Milan boss, who has always been a source of confidence for the talented attacker. The Brazilian hasn’t enjoyed the best of seasons with Los Blancos and could be yearning for Ancelotti’s feel-good factor.
