Manchester United skipper Gary Neville has claimed that his club only have themselves to blame for their failure to ensure their fourth consecutive Premier League title. Although he accepts his share of the blame, the fiery defender is still hoping for a miracle when Wigan Athletic play Chelsea at the weekend.
"When you leave it in the hands of others, you’ve got to take the punishment for it," said Neville on the club’s official website. "We saw that on Sunday. We did our job which is all we could do. Now we hope something can happen this Sunday."
Should Chelsea fail to win against the Latics at the weekend, a Man Utd win over Stoke City would dramatically hand the Red Devils a record-breaking league title-haul.
