Former Arsenal striker Sylvain Wiltord has said that this season will not, a previously thought, be his last. The 36-year-old striker has been enjoying a six month stint with Ligue 2 side Metz and it seems to have reinvigorated him.
"I’ll play again", Wiltord told France Football. "But I do not know if it will be in Ligue 1 or Ligue 2. As long as my legs and head are still fine I’ll play."
Having made 92 appearances for France, Wiltord has enjoyed a fine career in the game, and having looked dangerous for Metz in France’s second tier, could yet have one last hurrah ahead of him.
