Disgruntled Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure is looking for a move to the Premier League, according to Catalan daily Sport. The Ivorian international has found regular football difficult to come by this season, and has grown disillusioned with his shrinking role at the club.

The 26-year-old was linked with a move to Arsenal as a bargaining chip to lure Cesc Fabregas back to the Camp Nou, but Toure is understood to be favouring a switch to the domestic double winners Chelsea instead.

The former Monaco player, after playing a vital role in Barca’s record-breaking campaign two seasons ago, has found himself plummeting down the midfield pecking order. Clearly affected by the lack of confidence shown in him, Toure is likely to leave the Catalan giants in the summer for a new challenge in the Premier League. Aside from Chelsea, Manchester City, where older brother Kolo Toure plays, is understood to be a possible destination for the Ivorian as well.
