According to Spanish paper Marca, Real Madrid have confirmed who they will be making their priority for the summer transfer window – Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard. The Englishman is understood to be admired greatly by new Los Blancos boss Jose Mourinho, who would very much welcome his arrival to the Santiago Bernabeu.
After 12 seasons at Anfield, Gerrard, who turned 30 just a few days ago, has yet to win a Premier League title, and is believed to be growing disillusioned with the growing state of uncertainty at the club. After a disastrous last season with the Reds, the talismanic captain is believed to be prepared for a change of scenery.
Real are desperate to capitalise on Liverpool’s current catastrophic situation, and are understood to be lining up a massive bid for the talented midfield man.
