Disgruntled midfielder Yaya Toure is, according to reports from Catalan daily Sport, set to join Premier League club Manchester City. The Ivorian international was previously being linked with a move to Arsenal, as a bargaining chip to lure Cesc Fabregas, but is set to dash Barcelona’s hopes of pushing the transfer through.
The 27-year-old will join brother Kolo Toure at Eastlands, ensuring he will have an easier time adjusting to the rigours of the Premier League. Together with Carlos Tevez and Emmanuel Adebayor, Toure is expected to be among the club’s highest paid players on the Man City squad.
After three years at the Camp Nou, Yaya Toure is expected to complete his move to Man City in the next few days, in a deal worth in the region of €30M to €35M.
