Genoa and Juventus look set to do battle for Germany star Lukas Podolski in the summer as the striker prepares for a switch from Koln.

Podolski’s return from Bayern Munich to former club Koln has not worked out quite as planned, with the 25-year-old failing to his the heights the Bundesliga side expected. Koln therefore are not expected to resist a big-money bid for Podolski.

Under contract until 2013, Koln would most likely demand around €12.5M from any interested club. Russian side Zenit and fellow Bundesliga club Wolfsburg are also believed to be tracking developments closely.
