Following the termination of his deal with Serie A side Roma, Brazilian striker Adriano looks set to once again return to his homeland, with Corinthians the destination.

According to O Globo, Adriano is on the brink of agreeing a contract with Corinthians that will take him through to 2012.

For Corinthians, the signing would be a coup and go some way towards replacing the now-retired Ronaldo. 

For Adriano however, the move is another chance to relaunch a career which again faltered in Europe.
