Arsenal shareholder Stan Kroenke looks to be on the verge of launching a full takeover for the club. The American is believed to have snapped up the stakes of Danny Fiszman and Lady Nina Bracewell-Smith, with an announcement imminent.
With the duo owning 16% each, added to Kroenke’s own 29%, the deal would take his total holding in the club to well over the 30% barrier which is needed to trigger an automatic takeover attempt.
Kroenke had been edging closer to the 30% barrier over the past 18 months and his own shareholding was only bettered by that held by Red and White Holdings with 27%; Red and White Holdings being Russian investor Alisher Usmanov’s group.
Kroenke, who owns Kroenke Sports Enterprises, is also the owner of NBA side Denver Nuggets, MLS team Colorado Rapids, NHL outfit Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League and St. Louis Rams of the NFL.
