Spartak Moscow look close to appointing Andrey Kobelev as their new coach according to reports from Russia.
Previous boss Valery Karpin quit at the weekend following the club’s loss to Anzhi Makhachkala, a defeat which saw Spartak positioned rock bottom of the Russian Premier League table.
42-year-old Kobelev was in charge of Dynamo Moscow last year until he was sacked in April to make way for Miodrag Bozovic. Kobelev should sign a two-year deal with Spartak.
