Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has revealed that he is preparing to quit Hamburg in the summer and head elsewhere. Despite being 34 years old, the veteran hitman has no intention of hanging up his boots just yet and will go in search of one last big challenge.
Hamburg blocked a move back to Real Madrid for Van Nistelrooy in the January transfer window and seem to have resigned themselves to the striker’s departure.
"The season is almost over, but I am not going to retire", said Van Nistelrooy.
"I would like to stay at Hamburg or play elsewhere. For the time being, it seems that I will not remain here. I’m ready to leave."
