Reading winger Royston Drenthe has said that he believes the English Championship is the most competitive league he has ever been part of.
The 26-year-old featured in his side’s 1-0 win over Charlton on Saturday and Reading are now five points clear in the playoff zone ahead of seventh-placed Nottingham Forest. The Dutchman, who has also been part of the Russian and Spanish leagues, feels that the second-tier of English football is the ‘craziest’.

"In some leagues you know a team will win a particular game, but here even if one team has a better squad, you look after the game and you see a crazy score”, the former Real Madrid player continued.
"It's a league with so many tough games and so many good quality players, people from outside can't imagine what it is like. But I've now been in it for almost a year and I enjoy it very much, it's a nice experience."
Reading will take on Bournemouth tomorrow, before they take on table-leaders Leicester next week.
