Former Manchester United assistant manager Mike Phelan feels that Bayern Munich must have learned from their first match at Old Trafford against the Red Devils and will be up for it on their home turf.

The two teams lock horns at Germany's famous Allianz Arena tonight, with the Bavarians carrying forward an important away goal advantage into the match.

The German giants were difficult to stop during the first leg, enjoying a substantial 74 per cent ball possession. But the Red Devils put up an impressive defensive display to hold on to a 1-1 draw to put the second leg wide open.

"It's always the danger with Bayern that they'll have learned from the first game", Phelan was quoted as saying by the BBC.

Pep Guardiola's men have won 13 of the 14 games they have played at home in the league this season and will be confident of being at their best there yet again.

Manchester United on the other hand will be dreaming of the impossible and the proposed return of striker Wayne Rooney will make them believe.

The 28-year-old has scored 15 goals in the Premier League this season and has provided his team-mates with 10 equally important assists.
