Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has praised defender Mamadou Sakho for the way he dealt with a direct style of football against West Ham United at the weekend.
The Reds continued with their stunning form, winning the match against the Hammers with a 2-1 scoreline.

The 24-year-old, who made his first start for the club since December last year, put up an impressive performance during the match to help his team earn a well-deserved victory.
"It was a nice introduction to some parts of English football for Sakho", Rodgers told his club's official site.

"West Ham play a very direct game, and Andy Carroll is as good as anyone in world football when the ball is played up to him.
"Sakho coped really well with it, having been out of the side for so long."
The Liverpool manager also praised Sakho's defensive partner Martin Skrtel for his role during the victory.
"I thought both centre-backs were very good", the 41-year-old added.
