Darren Fletcher feels that Manchester United must go out to win the Europa League next season should they qualify for the competition.

Manchester United look all but out of the race to finish in the Premier League's top four this season and having crashed out of the Champions League in midweek seem set to spend their first season outside of Europe's elite since 1995.

The Europa League could be the Red Devils' fate. And if it is, Fletcher wants the side to focus on winning the competition.

"Embrace it and go and win it", he told his club's site.

"Some of us have played Champions League football but some are still young and relatively new to Europe, so it will be a great experience for them."

Manchester United currently sit seventh in the Premier League standings with 57 points from 33 games.

They are next in action on 20th April away at Everton.
