The Brazilian Football Confederation [CBF] have confirmed that Neymar will be fit to feature in his country’s World Cup quarter-final clash against Colombia in Fortaleza on Friday.
The Barcelona star picked up knee and thigh injuries during Brazil’s Round of 16 triumph over Chile on Saturday, and Selecao boss Luiz Felipe Scolari feared the 22-year-old might not be fit for the crucial game against the Colombians.
However, CBF communications director Rodrigo Paiva explained Neymar will take to the field against Jose Pekerman’s side, but added that the former Santos player might reduce his involvement in training.
"It is not a problem for the game”, he told FIFA’s official site.
“He is undergoing treatment for a heavy knock to the [right] knee and another lesser knock to the [left] hamstring.
