Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers simply must find a way to squeeze a second striker into the team as they are not scoring enough goals.
Rodgers has seen three strikers arrive at the club this summer in the shape of Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Divock Origi, but the Reds are having trouble hitting the back of the net on a consistent basis.
Liverpool, who have scored just three goals all season, were beaten 3-1 by Manchester United at the weekend and Rodgers was heavily criticised for playing a 4-3-3 formation which crowbarred Ings into an unfamiliar wide role.
Carragher does not care what system Rodgers chooses to play, but feels it is essential Benteke receives proper support.

"I think obsession is possibly the wrong word I used after the game", he said on Sky Sports Monday Night Football, referring to Rodgers wanting to play a 4-3-3 system regardless of the players at his disposal.

"I think it's a system he wanted to use when he initially came into the club.
"But it's also the system he falls back on when things haven't worked.
"Since he's been at the club it's never been that successful or really worked", Carragher continued, before addressing the make-up of the squad.
"I also mentioned the make-up of the squad in terms of strikers and number 10s.
"Liverpool have to play with two strikers, whatever the system is, because they aren't getting enough goals.
"Moving forward in terms of the system Liverpool play they've got to get two strikers on the pitch."
Carragher believes that the returning Daniel Sturridge might help matters, but stressed that with the striker's injury history he cannot be relied upon.
"Sturridge is coming back, but you can't rely on him for a full season.
"But he's back in training and he gets goals.
"I'd like to see him as a wide forward."
