Bayern Munich are unwilling to offer Mario Gotze a new deal, according to German daily TZ, something which Liverpool are likely to take note of.
Gotze, whose present contract with the Bavarians runs until 2017, joined the club from their Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
The Germany international’s progress at the Allianz Arena has been hampered by injuries, with the 23-year-old thus far making 104 appearances in all competitions for the German champions, scoring 34 times and setting up 22 goals.
However, Bayern Munich, who are set to appoint Carlo Ancelotti in place of Pep Guardiola at the end of the season, have made no moves to tie Gotze to a new deal, despite knowing who their new manager is.
As a result, the World Cup winner has not been offered a contract extension by Bayern Munich, with the Bundesliga leaders tying several of his team-mates to new deals.

Liverpool have been linked with moving for Gotze in the summer and Bayern Munich's unwillingness to tie down the Germany star on a longer deal may offer the Reds hope.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus are also monitoring the situation of Gotze, who has previously played under current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp during his time at Dortmund.
