Leeds United head coach Steve Evans has revealed that he will take a look at the injury status of a trio of Whites players before taking a decision to include them in the squad for Saturday’s trip to Blackburn Rovers.
After a difficult run of form, Leeds have picked up some steam with back-to-back wins over Bolton Wanderers and Cardiff City in the league and have pushed up to 15th in the Championship table.
The things are also looking positive on the injury front for Leeds as Evans revealed that a trio of players could return to action against Blackburn at Ewood Park on Saturday.
The Leeds boss confirmed that he expects striker Chris Wood to finally return to the squad on Saturday after a lengthy injury layoff and he will also take a look at Lewie Coyle and Liam Cooper’s injury status before taking a decision on the duo.
When asked whether his squad are close to full strength, the Scot said on LUTV: “Hopefully we will get one or two lads back.

“Obviously we will have a look today at Chris Wood, and everyone in Leeds is waiting to see if he can be with us on Saturday; I think he will be.
“We will look at Coyley, we will look at Coops, and we will make some decisions.
“We have got one or two knocks that are carrying on from the win at Cardiff, we will keep them in-house and will try get them available for selection.”
Leeds are on 44 points at the moment, and the club feel a good run towards the end of the season could get them closer to a top ten finish this term
