Tottenham Hotspur hitman Harry Kane has paid special tribute to team-mate Dele Alli after he was given two assists by the midfielder in a 2-0 win away at Aston Villa.

Spurs quickly gave Aston Villa notice of their intent and hit the woodwork twice before taking the lead on the stroke of half time through Kane.

Alli was the brains behind the goal, taking a free-kick quickly and finding Kane, who made no mistake with a low shot.

In the 48th minute it was 2-0 and Kane was the scorer again, Alli once again the provider via a cross, from which his team-mate made no mistake.

Villa did push to try and get back in the game and hit the woodwork themselves late on, but Spurs were comfortable and grabbed a 2-0 victory at Villa Park.

Kane was also pleased to benefit from more superb play from Alli, who laid on both of his goals.

"I am delighted to get another two goals but as always it is most important to win.
