Leeds United captain Sol Bamba is confident that the Whites will be a much stronger unit next season.
After suffering a crushing 4-0 drubbing at Brighton at the end of February, Leeds have gone on an impressive run of three wins, beating Bolton Wanderers, Cardiff City and, on Saturday, Blackburn Rovers.
Following their defeat at Brighton, there was talk that Steve Evans’ men could get sucked into the relegation dogfight, but three wins and nine points later, Leeds are looking forward to a top ten finish this season.
But Bamba admits that the players will have to prove their mettle to convince Evans about their ability ahead of a summer of changes, as the Leeds captain is confident that the club hierarchy will look to sign fresh faces to make them a stronger unit.
The defender told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “It’s difficult to talk about that [next season] because you’re probably going to have some players come in and some players are going to go.

“But I think what’s important is to keep the core of the team and with performances like this it’s up to us to show what we can do to stay at the club.
“Obviously the owner and the manager are going to try to make some adjustments and bring in some players, and we’re going to be stronger for it.”
Leeds have climbed up to 13th in the league table on 47 points and will next take on Huddersfield in the Yorkshire derby next Saturday at Elland Road.
