Rangers starlet Liam Burt has explained that he is relishing playing under manager Mark Warburton and assistant David Weir.

The 17-year-old, who recently signed a two-year contract extension at Rangers, has thus far made just one senior appearance for the Scottish giants.

Burt came on as a late substitute against Raith Rovers in a Scottish Championship game earlier in the month, a fixture the Gers won 2-0.

And the attacking midfielder insisted that his playing style is complimented by Warburton and Weir’s ideas, with the starlet capable of playing in a number of positions.

The Scot, whose present contract with Rangers runs until 2018, went on to laud the high standard of training at Ibrox under the watchful eyes of the manager and his assistant.

“It has been great”, he told Rangers TV.

“They have new ideas and that suits my style of play well. I can play number 10 behind the striker or I can play right midfield and left midfield – anywhere in an attacking role really.

“Both the manager and David are really good coaches who give you great advice, and it is a really high standard of training too that they have us doing on a daily basis.”

Rangers, who beat Greenock Morton 3-1 in the league on Friday, are currently 14 points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand.
