West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has insisted that his side are aiming to put in an improved display against Manchester United in their FA Cup quarter-final replay at Upton Park.
The original tie between the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday, with Anthony Martial scoring a late equaliser for the Red Devils after the Hammers took the lead through Dimitri Payet's free-kick in the second half of the quarter-final clash at Old Trafford.
However, Carroll is disappointed with the way things turned out after having dominated the game at Old Trafford throughout, with the striker stating that his side are raring for a win against Louis van Gaal’s team at the Boleyn Ground, which will enable the London outfit to reach the semi-finals of the domestic cup competition.
“It’s going to be great. All the lads are looking forward to it. The way we played [on Sunday] was fantastic and it can be better at our place”, the English international was quoted as saying by the club’s official website.
“I don’t think there are many teams that come away from Old Trafford and are disappointed with a draw but we were.

“We are disappointed but we just have to take them to our place”, the 27-year-old further said.
“After going one up, we felt like in the end we could have held out. Obviously they went up and put the pressure on and got the equaliser."
