Leeds United have announced that they have found a new official sponsor for the east stand at Elland Road in Clipper Logistics Plc.

Steve Parkin, the owner of the firm, has been a lifelong fan of the club, and there were rumours that he was look to buy Leeds United from Massimo Cellino towards the end of last year.

His intention to become involved with the club has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks, as he has been seen with the Leeds owner on multiple occasions during the club’s matches at Elland Road.

And Parkin is delighted to get his company’s brand attached to the name of Leeds United; he is confident that the club’s name will help him to grow his business around the world.

He told the club’s official website: "As a lifelong Leeds fan, I’m delighted to have the business I’ve built over the past two decades become a sponsor of the club.
