Rangers boss Mark Warburton has revealed that he wants the current crop of players to take inspiration from the club's legends and get their pictures on the wall alongside them.

The Gers have been in impressive form this season, having developed a 14-point lead at the top of the Championship table and are now clear favourites to win the second tier title this term and make their way back to the top flight in Scotland.

Heading to the top flight is the first step for Rangers and Warburton is hoping that his side can push on and gain inspiration from the club legends, with the Gers often having dominated Scottish football.

Speaking about the facilities on offer both at Ibrox and at their training ground Auchenhowie, the 53-year-old said revealed that the walls are dotted with club legends.

It would be absolutely brilliant, according to the manager, if the current crop could do something that puts them in the same group as the legends.

“We talk about the players getting their pictures on the wall", Warburton told his club's official website.

"This is a magnificent training ground with lots of pictures of past teams and past successes, and I want this team to have their picture on the wall as well."

Speaking about all the hard work that the team have put in this season, the manager stated: “They have worked so hard and shown quality and a consistency, so we want them to get their rewards and then kick on from there.

“Whatever job you are in, if you work hard and work diligently, you want to get something out of it."
