Celtic defender Erik Sviatchenko feels that he is yet to play at 100 per cent for Ronny Deila’s men despite being a regular starter for the club since joining them in January.

The 24-year-old has taken very little time to become a regular feature of the Celtic playing eleven since arriving from FC Midtjylland in January, and has already made ten appearances for the Scottish champions.

Despite playing regularly and earning praise from Deila for his performances, Sviatchenko believes he is yet to play at 100 per cent for Celtic, and feels there is a lot more he can offer in the future.

He believes that he has been fortunate enough to become a regular in the playing eleven without any problems, but is sure that he will still need some time to settle down and there is still a lot more to come from him.

The Celtic defender was quoted as saying by Danish outlet Bold: “In a way I am at 100 per cent, because I am fresh and in form, but I am saying that I am playing at 80 per cent because I believe I still have a lot more to offer.

“I was thrown into the fire, and I have played nine games in six weeks, but fortunately without any problems.

“I am still getting used to the new surroundings. I am that type who wants to have full control of the things I am doing, and I have done well, but there is still room for improvement.”

Celtic edged out Kilmarnock 1-0 at Rugby Park earlier today, with a late Tom Rogic goal enough to secure all three points for the Bhoys.
