Leeds United legend Eddie Gray believes Steve Evans’ players will need to deal with a different level of expectation today against Huddersfield Town, after three wins on the bounce.
Following their chastising 4-0 loss at Brighton last month, Leeds have come roaring back with three wins on the trot over Bolton, Cardiff and Blackburn respectively, and have climbed up to 13th in the league table.
Evans has revealed an upbeat mood inside the Leeds camp ahead of the Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield, and while the Whites are going into the game as favourites, Gray admits that the players will have to deal with a different set of expectations from the home supporters.
A record crowd of recent years is expected turnout at Elland Road today, and the Leeds legend believes the players should be feeling confident about getting their fourth win on the bounce.
While previewing the game, Gray said on LUTV: “Three wins on the spin, local derby coming up, and a big crowd – something to look forward to.
