Kenny Miller has admitted that Rangers should have put the game against Falkirk to bed in the first half, following their 3-2 loss in a Scottish Championship game on Friday night.

The Gers started the contest at the Falkirk Community Stadium strongly, with Miller giving his team a seventh minute lead before Barrie McKay doubled the visitors’ advantage two minutes later.

However, Rangers failed to add to their tally, despite Mark Warburton’s team dominating the proceedings in the first half and creating several guilt-edged chances.

The missed opportunities came back to haunt Rangers after the break as late goals from Blair Alston, Myles Hippolyte and Bob McHugh secured a dramatic win for Falkirk.

And Miller, who insisted that he cannot believe his side lost the game at Falkirk, feels Rangers’ missed chances in front of goal contributed to their third league defeat of the season.

“After the first half performance, I can’t believe that we’ve been beaten tonight”, he told Rangers TV.

“We definitely should have scored more goals and been further ahead and the game should have been put to bed.

“As much as we never played the way that we play and do the right things the right things that we normally do and have worked on all season, we still had a couple of chances I think, that could have put the game to bed, but we never.”

Rangers are currently 11 points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship table with a game in hand.
