Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic thinks his former team will give their all to beat Manchester City in a pre-season friendly in China in July.
The Red Devils, who edged out the Citizens 1-0 in the Premier League at the weekend, are currently sixth in the table with 50 points from 30 games, just one behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
Manchester United will head to China for a pre-season tour, where they will take on Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City on 22nd and 25th July respectively.
And Vidic, who insisted that the Old Trafford outfit will not want to lose the Manchester derby, even though it is only a friendly, thinks the tough pre-season games will help Manchester United to gauge their fitness levels going into the 2016/17 campaign.
"You don’t want to lose against City, even when it’s a friendly match", Vidic told MUTV.

"I believe it’s good that United will play good teams in pre-season because they can see where they are at.
“You can get a sense of where you are up to [with fitness] and the players will see how much work they need to do to reach the level of others."
Manchester United will next lock horns with 12th-placed Everton in a home Premier League fixture after the ongoing international break on 3rd April.
