Christian Benteke has insisted that he does not intend to leave Liverpool as he is desperate to succeed at the club.

The Belgian international, who was signed by Jurgen Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers from Aston Villa in the summer for a whopping £32.5m, has been claimed not to be suited to the German’s playing style.

And Benteke has been relegated to the bench in recent games, with the striker also being linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer.

West Ham United are reportedly keen on the 25-year-old, who did not think about quitting Liverpool for the cash-rich Chinese Super League in January.

And Benteke, who explained that he wants to stay at Liverpool beyond the 2015/16 campaign, however, was quick to add that he will assess the situation after the end of the season.
