Leeds United youth coach Jason Blunt feels his side are on a learning curve, following their goalless draw with Birmingham City in an Under-21 Professional League 2 game on Thursday.
It was the Whites’ second game in three days, with the Yorkshire giants playing out another goalless draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Tuesday.
The ongoing international break also prompted Blunt to play a youthful team against Birmingham, with a few Under-18s featuring in the contest at Elland Road.
And Blunt, who conceded that Leeds looked tired on Thursday, however, thinks his side learning to manage the fixture congestion is a positive to take out of the two successive goalless draws.
“We had a young group, a few 18s involved”, he told BBC Radio Leeds.

“As a learning experience, playing two games in two days, we didn’t have a good result away at Palace, but we did play extremely well and deserved to win the game by three or four [goals].
“So today you could obviously see the tiredness within the group. So the positive is the learning curve I would say.”
Leeds, who are now unbeaten in their last three outings, will next face Bolton Wanderers in an away league fixture on Thursday.
The Elland Road outfit are currently fifth in the league standings with 32 points from 25 games.
