Erik Sviatchenko has explained that he is relishing the prospect of facing his Celtic team-mate Leigh Griffiths when Scotland take on Denmark in an international friendly tomorrow.
Griffiths has been in superb form for the Hoops in the present campaign, with the striker scoring 35 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.
On the other hand, Sviatchenko has managed to provide stability to Celtic’s defence since joining the club from FC Midtjylland during the winter transfer window.
And the centre-back, who admitted that Griffiths is currently in a rich vein of form, is however, hopeful about Denmark keeping the 25-year-old in check at Hampden.
“We see how he scores goals and gets to chances in games”, Sviatchenko told the Celtic View.

“He’s on a hot streak right now and he could score even more goals because he creates the chances too.
“I’ll have a little bit more knowledge which maybe I can share with my team-mates but it’s difficult to say because it depends on the day when you play.
“Will he be 100 per cent that day? Can we maybe get him down to 80 per cent?
“Even so, he will still be a good striker but hopefully we can manage to secure the defence and the team will have a good day against the best striker in Scotland.”
Griffiths, who is currently the Scottish Premiership’s top scorer with 26 strikes to his name, joined the Bhoys from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2014.
He has thus far amassed 98 appearances for the Scottish champions, scoring 63 times and providing 23 assists.
Griffiths also has six senior caps for Scotland to his name, with the forward yet to find the back of the net on the international front.
