Rangers captain Lee Wallace is confident that his side won’t limp over the line to win the Scottish Championship this season.

With only two games needed to win the league title, Rangers are more than just favourites to earn automatic promotion to the Scottish Premiership this season, but their recent performances have been underwhelming.

They lost from a winning position against Falkirk earlier this month, and almost threw away three points against Queen of the South last weekend. Andy Halliday has raised concerns that the Gers could just limp over the line to win the title.

However, Wallace is confident that nothing of that sort will happen; he has assured the fans that Rangers will end the season in a dominant way and not just limp over the line to win the title.

When asked about Halliday’s apprehensions, the defender told Rangers TV: “Of course [we need to prevent that].

“I don’t think we will, I don’t think we are. It’s nice we are looking at that, and it will give us extra motivation to not let that happen.

“As long as we maintain our performance level, we will be fine and we will get over the line, not limping over, but in a dominant way, the Rangers way.”

Rangers will look to shut up their doubters when they take on Raith Rovers away from home this weekend in the Scottish Championship.
