Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed that the Under-21 fixture against Blackburn Rovers this Friday will come too early for injury returnee Jack Wilshere.

The England international, who has yet to feature for the Gunners this term, has just returned to training after having fractured his fibula back in August.

The French manager though insists that the midfielder is not yet ready to return to action and won't be risked for their Under-21 Premier League match against Blackburn.

The signs, as far as Wilshere is concerned, are good though and the manager insists that another assessment on the player will be done next week before deciding on his involvement.

Responding to a question on whether the youngster will play for the Under-21s, Wenger said at a press conference: "Not yet, no, we have not decided that yet.
