Leeds United head coach Steve Evans has revealed that he has been looking at potential targets for the summer, and will present his case to the club when asked.
The Whites are currently 13th in the league table on 47 points, and are hoping to finish the season strongly in order to break into the Championship’s top ten, but Evans has loftier ambitions.
The Leeds boss has been insisting that if he gets the proper financial backing from the club in the summer, then he will build a squad which should be good enough to challenge for promotion to the Premier League next season.
And Evans revealed that he and his coaching staff have been looking at players, whom they want to potentially target for the transfer window, over the last couple of weeks.
The Scot said in a press conference when asked about his assessment of the squad: “Myself and my assistant spent the last two weeks looking at players.

“And we will continue to look at players, we have to do our jobs.
“We will make our proposals and recommendations when asked to do so by the board.”
While there remains doubt whether Evans will be Leeds boss by the time next season rolls out, the Scot remains confident that he has done enough to continue as the Whites manager.
