Leeds United boss Steve Evans has lavished praise on Scotland manager Gordon Strachan, but believes his job at Elland Road is tougher.
The Scot remains a big fan of the Scotland manager and believes the former Leeds and Manchester United man has done a lot to turn the fortunes of the current national team around.
Evans feels that the Scotland boss has built a team who have the desire and the hunger to move forward, and he is proud of the squad Strachan has put together in recent months.
However, compared to the Scotland manager’s role, he believes the Leeds job is more taxing as he feels it is one of the toughest jobs in football, owing to the size of the club.
When asked whether Strachan's role as Scotland boss is tougher than the Leeds job, Evans said in a press conference: “No.

“This is one of the toughest jobs. What I would say about Gordon Strachan is that apart from being a Leeds legend, he is a Scottish legend.
“He is a fantastic man, not just to me, but to people in the game. He has made a football team, and put them in a position that we can be proud of them again.
“It’s not about winning all the time, it’s about the desire and application and Gordon has it running through the whole country.”
Strachan recently called up Liam Bridcutt and Liam Cooper to the Scotland squad for last month’s international friendlies, but only the Leeds midfielder got the chance to play in their win over Denmark earlier this week.
