Leeds United boss Steve Evans has indicated that being in charge at Elland Road comes with different set of expectation, but he is not looking beyond the next game.
The Whites’ three-game winning streak came to screeching halt before the international break, when they went down to local rivals Huddersfield Town at Elland Road in a Yorkshire derby.
The 4-1 defeat brought forward a new set of doubts about the quality of the Leeds squad, and even Evans’ job at the club came under the scanner, with many questioning his long term suitability.
And the Leeds boss is not surprised by the media scrutiny, as he feels that unlike other Championship coaches, a manager at Elland Road is judged by different yardsticks, but the Scot insisted that he hasn’t allowed the speculation to affect him.
Evans stressed that his focus is still on getting three points at Rotherham tomorrow, and then move forward from there.

The Leeds manager said in a press conference: “As a football manager in the Championship if you cough, you might have a chest infection but if you cough as Leeds United manager, you have pneumonia.
“And that’s the way it is; I believe in working hard and if I get some support I deliver.
“That [the speculation] has never crossed my mind, as I have been focused on Rotherham. At 5’o clock on Saturday, win lose or draw, I will have my comments and then I will be focused on Queens Park Rangers.”
Evans’ contract expires at the end of the season, but he is hopeful about earning a new deal at Leeds.
