Leeds United defender Liam Cooper wants to continue to impress for the club after his experience in the Scotland squad during the international break.
The 24-year-old defender has shown steady form at the back for an inconsistent Leeds team this season and was called up to the Scotland squad for the friendly against Denmark earlier this week.
While Cooper didn’t get an opportunity to play, it was his first national team call up, and he admits that it was a wonderful experience to be involved with some great players in Gordon Strachan’s squad.
He is aware that it was his Leeds United form which got him into the Scotland squad in the first place, and the defender wants to continue to impress in the Whites shirt going forward.
On his experience in the Scotland squad, Cooper told LUTV: “Obviously there are some unbelievable players and there were some great players for Denmark as well.

“It was good to be part of that and it was just nice to be recognised for my appearances here.
"Hopefully I can give them more and play well for Leeds United.”
The Scot has been an integral part of Steve Evans’ starting eleven this season, and has notched up 33 appearances in all competitions in the Leeds shirt in the current campaign.
