Former Rangers defender Lorenzo Amoruso believes Celtic fans have not enjoyed their four years without the Gers in the top flight.
Rangers had to start again in the fourth tier of the Scottish game following their liquidation in 2012, but promotion from the Scottish Championship as champions this season means the Gers will be playing top flight football next season.
In their absence Celtic have won the Premiership title every year and Amoruso feels the Bhoys have certainly missed the presence of the Gers in the top flight.
The Italian, who played for Rangers from 1997 until 2003, believes without the Gers the top division of the Scottish game has not been the same.
He told the BBC: "I'm sure most Celtic supporters probably didn't really enjoy the last four years.
