Sergi Canos, on loan at Brentford from Liverpool, has said that while it took a while getting used to playing in the Championship, he feels a lot more settled now, while explaining in his mind he is a striker.
The Spanish player was loaned by Premier League club Liverpool to the Bees in August last year, in a deal that was later extended up to the end of the season.
The Griffin Park side are on the back of two straight victories, defeating Nottingham Forest 3-0 before finishing Bolton Wanderers off 3-1 on Tuesday.
And Canos, who took his goal tally to five in the league this season with his strike against Forest, is delighted with the way the past week unfolded, and insists that he has finally got used to his life as a Championship player, admitting that it required some getting used to.
“I am happy to be back scoring but the most important thing is that the team is winning and that we have the winning mentality again”, the 19-year-old told the club’s official website.
