Rangers talent Dapo Mebude has hailed the Gers fans as the best in the world after their extensive support towards the team during their trip to face Rapid Vienna on Thursday in the Europa League.
Steven Gerrard’s men crashed out of the Europa League after conceding a late goal through Dejan Ljubicic during their 1-0 defeat to Rapid Vienna at the Allianz Stadion on Thursday.
The Light Blues needed a win to book their place in the knockout stages of the competition, but fell short in the end as the hosts progressed to the next round, behind leaders Villarreal, from Group G.
Despite their disappointing result on the pitch, Rangers were backed by a vociferous group of travelling supporters, who took the 2,614-mile round trip to back their team away from home.

Mebude, who is currently with the Gers’ Under-18s side, hailed the fans for their tremendous support on the road by claiming that they are the best in the world.
“Best fans in the world”, Mebude wrote on Twitter while retweeting a picture of the supporters inside the Allianz Stadion.
The 17-year-old striker has a contract that runs out next summer and Rangers will be aiming to offer him an extension in a bid to try and secure his future at Ibrox.
Mebude, who was promoted to the Rangers’ Under-18s side in the summer, has represented and scored for Scotland across various age groups.
