Salah has a year left on his contract with Liverpool, but he is not looking to leave the Reds this summer.

Unlike his team-mate Sadio Mane, who is pushing for a move to Bayern Munich, the Egyptian has ruled out a move in the upcoming transfer window regardless of whether he signs a new deal or not.

The Reds will hope to convince him to sign a new deal but there have been no face-to-face talks between the club and his representatives since December.

And it has been claimed that Salah is prepared to run down his deal and leave on a free transfer next year.

The forward would prefer to stay in the Premier League even if he leaves Liverpool at the end of next season.

Salah is happy in England and is not keen to play in another league if negotiations with Liverpool do not reach a successful conclusion.

The forward wants the club to show him more appreciation through the new contract and it has been claimed that the Reds have only offered to increase his wages by 15 per cent.

Salah, who has scored 156 goals in 254 games, wants parity with the best-paid players in the Premier League and believes he deserves it.

However, Liverpool do not want to break their carefully constructed wage structure for one player.
