Tarkowski’s current deal at Burnley expires at the end of this month and he is set to be available on a free transfer.

The defender’s prospective free agent status has made him an attractive target for several Premier League clubs, including Everton and Aston Villa.

Toffees boss Lampard wants to bolster his centre-back options and Everton have already given Tarkowski a contract offer, while they are also facing strong competition from Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.

West Ham United, Newcastle United and Leicester City are also keeping tabs on Tarkowski’s situation at Turf Moor.

However, the 29-year is not just a player in-demand in his homeland as he is also drawing admiring glances from clubs overseas.

But Tarkowski wants to push on with his career in England, where he has the opportunity to continue playing in the Premier League, despite Burnley’s relegation.

The centre-back is currently away on summer holiday and will take a decision on his future once he returns.
